By attaching a wall to another element you avoid the need to manually edit the wall profile when the design changes.

The wall must be attached to the target roof and the target roof must be a footprint roof. The wall sticks through the roof near the eave see first attached image. After placing a wall you can override its initial top and base constraints by attaching its top or base to another element in the same vertical plane. So i start by drawing an unconnected wall with whatever height setting. As you can see with the first small gable i ve already attached the wall to the roof as previously so go ahead and attach the walls to the roofs and you will end up with a finished gable roof.
